What The T@X! Episode #3: IRS Frivolous Tax Arguments

Hey listeners… Jeremias here. If you spend enough time on the internet you’ll come across several claims that you don’t have to pay federal income tax.

  • Taxpayers can refuse to pay income taxes on religious or moral grounds.
  • Federal income tax violates the constitution because it’s the taking of property without due process.
  • You can plead the fifth and not file a tax return because doing so would be self incriminating.
  • The federal income tax laws are unconstitutional because the 16th Amendment to the United States Constitution was not properly ratified.

You could spend hours reading through some of these faulty tax arguments and spend hours online watching videos from people claiming you don’t have to pay any income tax at all – or you can listen to this podcast!

Learn about the faulty arguments presented to the IRS and how they landed several taxpayers in jail. Enjoy!
