The Changing Workforce

As millennials replace baby boomers in the workforce, management will need to come up with new benefits to offer.

Over the next decade, more and more baby boomers are going to be exiting the workforce and be replaced by a younger generation: millennials.  As this transition occurs, company management will need to change what types of benefits and on-the-job perks they offer.  Although benefits such as a retirement plan, vacation days, and insurance are still needed, millennials are looking for additional amenities such as the ability to work from home, meals offered at the place of work, and even access to beer and liquor at work.  As the times change and the current workforce is replaced with a younger generation, management needs to realize benefits offered will need to evolve to better suit the needs and wants of this new generation.
