Toilet Not Flushing? Sings You Need a Commercial Plumber Pronto

Trouble with a non-flushing toilet at your business? Don't wait!

The majority of people have a basic awareness of plumbing; it keeps the water in your home clean and keeps your home sanitary.

However, after a few months of that tap dripping, you may be wondering what you need to do about it. Should you call a plumber? For many people who have no expertise in plumbing, this is not an easy question to answer. Identifying plumbing issues is simply not something most people can do with ease.

So, what are some of the signs that you need to call a commercial plumber to your home or place of work?

Recurring Leaks

Have you noticed that the ceiling under your bath has some water damage? Does it drip when you have a shower? Or, have you noticed a leak under your sink at work that won’t stop?

If the answer is yes, then chances are that the recurring leak is due to an issue with the pipes.

Remember, if you don’t look online for ‘commercial plumbers near me,’ then that leak can cause structural issues, mold, and even electrical problems.

Clogged Drains

Most people can spot the tell-tale signs of a blocked drain. Some signs include the water level stays the same after a bath, and no amount of plunger action or drain-based clearing agents can get anything to budge.

So, if you have a blockage in your bath or your sinks, then you need to contact a commercial plumber. Indeed, in some cases, using store-bought drain clearers can make the situation worse. This is true as you may involuntarily push all of the blockages to one area, thereby creating a larger blockage.

Low Water Pressure

Nobody wants their water pressure to be overly variable. This makes for a really bad shower or bath if you are washing your dog.

Of course, the underlying causes of water pressure are fairly easy for a trained commercial plumber to identify and treat. Commonly, this can be a problem with the piping, such as a blockage in the pipes, an issue with the water main, or it could mean that your water pressure regulator is malfunctioning.

No Hot Water

Cold showers are fine if you choose to have them, but not if you are waiting for some warm water!

If you notice that there is an issue relating to the lack of hot water or the water you have is inconsistent, then you need to call a commercial plumber as soon as you can. A lack of hot water can point to an issue with your hot water heater. Alternatively, there may be an issue in the plumbing system somewhere else.

Calling a plumber will allow them to diagnose the issue and, if necessary, replace the hot water heater, as well as check that all of your pipes are working as they need to.

Bad Odors and Sewage

This is where a blocked toilet, or another issue with a toilet’s plumbing, will really show itself.

If, after you flush the toilet, there is a foul odor emitted from the nearby sink or bath, this can signify that you need to call in a plumber. Why? Because this means that there is likely a block somewhere in the toilet’s pipework. When water is pushing past it, is causing the release of rather unpleasant odors.

So, if there is a bad smell in your bathroom that keeps coming back, be sure to call a commercial plumber! Commercial plumbers can also help you business with an array of problems, including your commercial HVAC needs!
