Midway through 2017 cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin and Ethereum gained a ton of traction by speculators and investors. Some leading technology industry experts believed that Bitcoin would reach unprecedented highs however other believed that the coin was a scam.
Although Bitcoin has come down from its high of around $20,000, cryptocurrencies seem like they are here to stay which brings up two questions: how are they taxed and should you invest in them?
